This richly ornate Hand-Forged heavy gauge sterling silver pattern, is from the design first produced by the Victorian silversmith Francis Higgins for the Great Exhibition of 1851 at The Crystal Palace. Each piece is carefully pierced and chased to give the impression of interwoven vines, whilst retaining weight and strength.
This exclusive pattern is especially suited to gilding, it was featured in the Great Exhibition of 1851catalog.
